Huge thanks and congratulations to all the staff and volunteers @farnhammaltingscraft who made the Print festival on Sunday such a success. It was a really well run event with lots of thoughtful touches for both stall holders and visitors. The organisers had done a really good job of selecting a wide range of hugely talented printmakers, which made it all the more special to be awarded a 'highly commended' exhibitors prize. A day of getting ready for #Printworks2026 @farnhammaltingscraft this coming Sunday.

I grew up just down the road and craft fairs at the Maltings were a real feature of my childhood. This will be my first time back as an adult.

Whilst preparing images for my Instagram Takeover of @farnhammaltingscraft next Thursday (I am taking part in Printworks print festival on Sunday 19th April, my first event in ages, and rather too close to where I grew up to not be emotionally difficult at the moment), I found this clip from our trip to America a couple of years ago. It shows my dedication to The Circle, and made me laugh, so I thought I would post it. Creating this particular circle resulted in a damaged knee and limping for about a week, but as we all know, you have to suffer for your Art.

Back in February I had the honour of speaking at PechaKucha night @pkn_bristol at @strange_brew_briz .

PechaKucha originated in Japan - 20 slides per talk, 20 seconds per slide, 8 speakers per night. I was invited to take part in the Bristol event after meeting organiser @_dshott at @centrespace Open Studios. The idea of talking in front of a room full of people is my idea of total horror, but I put myself firmly outside of my comfort zone and gave it a go.

The theme of the night was 'ODD', so I talked about my odd Aphantasic brain, and how finding out I have Aphantasia has made life both more and less odd at the same time.

I survived to tell the tale, and heard seven fabulous and fascinating talks from my co presenters.

My talk is now available online at https://www.pechakucha.com/presentations/counting-invisible-sheep (link in bio), and you can see all the other talks from the night, plus thousands of others from cities across the world!

It doesn't look like much yet, but due to bereavement and then a frozen shoulder, this is the first time I have printed anything for nearly two years. I am very happy to finally have some ink on paper. Baby steps.
